McDonald’s of Town & Country, located at 101 Lamp and Lantern Village, recently celebrated its grand reopening with a ribbon-cutting; the celebration will continue through the month of February with prize drawings, promotional food pricing and other special events. The restaurant, which was torn down and completely rebuilt on the existing site, features state-of-the-art technology as well as a meeting room for customers’ use.

Logan University has named Jordan LaMarca as its new assistant director of admissions for the College of Health Sciences. LaMarca brings nearly 10 years of online enrollment experience to Logan; he holds a bachelor of science degree in psychology and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

MERS/Goodwill recently announced the addition of new members David Pickerill and Arturo M. Corral to its 2016 Board of Directors. Pickerill is the executive director of Missouri Clean Energy District; Corral is the principal for consulting and training services firm Sedona Management LLC.

Edward Jones Partner Larry Thomas has been elected Board chair at Provident, Inc. Serving the St. Louis Area since 1860, Provident is an accredited, nonprofit, United Way-funded agency that provides counseling, suicide prevention and intervention, and community support programs.

St. Louis-based World Wide Technology recently broke ground on a new state-of-the-art headquarters building in Westport Plaza, and also announced the addition of 500 new jobs. Scheduled to open in mid-2017, the 210,000-square-foot world headquarters will house as many as 1,000 employees, and is a  joint development project by World Wide Technology and Lodging Hospitality Management.

Area snow and ice management firm BSR Services, Inc. recently was selected as Missouri’s only official research candidate to participate in a national salt management study. The study is designed to provide practical, real-life salt application data in an effort to develop industry standards and best practices.

Golden Oak Lending has announced that Senior Executives James Hawkins and Shawn Curtis recently purchased the lending company from previous owners Bob Ellman and John Paci, who will continue as consultants for the company. Hawkins and Curtis previously served as the loan officer management team at Golden Oak Lending and have over 20 years of combined mortgage industry experience.
