Pastor Josh Wright desires to make a difference in the community, the nation and ultimately the mission fields of the world by planting the new Riverside Baptist Church in Chesterfield. It is his conviction the area is in need of a church like Riverside Baptist in order to reach those who do not currently attend church and help them grow in their relationship with God.
After graduating from Pensacola Christian College, Wright spent eight years in ministry at the First Baptist Church of Milford, Ohio, where he served as music director and singles director, as well as a teacher and coach in their Christian school. In 2014, Wright accepted the call to be a church-planter in Chesterfield and began preparations for the opening of Riverside Baptist Church.
The Wright family, including wife Tiffany and children Alaina, Braylon and Nolan, relocated to West County a short time ago and have been sharing the exciting news about Riverside Baptist with prospective members throughout the community ever since. Sports and music enthusiasts, the family enjoys rooting for the Cardinals, playing the piano and spending time together.
“The need to plant Biblical churches has never been greater than it is today,” Wright said. “America is now home to almost 200,000,000 unchurched people. That makes our nation the fourth largest unchurched nation in the world – just behind China, India and Indonesia.”
Riverside Baptist will be hosting several special events, including community Vacation Bible School and evening Bible studies, prior to their grand opening service which will be held at Logan University on Sept.11 at 2:30 p.m.
