American Legion District 10 baseball tournament gets underway

The District 10 American Legion playoffs get under way Tuesday (July 15).

Here are the seeds for this postseason: 1. Ballwin. 2. Eureka. 3. Creve Coeur. 4. Florissant. 5. Manchester. 6. Maryland Heights. 7. Thoman Boothe. 8. Lemay.

The games will play at the Ellsville Athletic Association complex on Field 1.

Two first-round games in the double elimination tournament will be played Tuesday. Ballwin meets Lemay at 5:30 p.m. At 8 p.m., Manchester meets Florissant. The two winners will play at 5:30 p.m. Friday. The two losers meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

The other two first-round games will be Wednesday. At 5:30 p.m., Eureka plays Thoman Boothe while Creve Coeur plays Maryland Heights at 8 p.m. The two winners will play at 8 p.m. Friday. The two losers will face off at 8 p.m. Thursday.

The championship game is set for 4 p.m. Sunday. If an extra game is needed, it will be played at 7 p.m. Monday.

Eureka is the defending district tournament champion.
