Superintendent Keith Marty announced that Tori Cain has been named principal at Parkway North High, effective July 1. The board of education voted unanimously in support of the recommendation.
Marty said, “We’re very pleased to have a smooth transition at North High, with Tori serving as assistant principal there for the past four years. She has already displayed outstanding leadership skills and a very child-centered approach to her work.”
Cain earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and general science from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She received a master’s degree in general science from the University of Arkansas; a specialist’s degree in educational administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City; and her doctorate in educational administration from Saint Louis University.
“I am honored to serve the Parkway North community in this new role. I look forward to working together as a team to continue the proud legacy and tradition of excellence of Parkway North High School,” Cain said.
Cain replaces Jenny Marquart, who is retiring after 17 years as North High’s principal.
