“We should always strive to keep dancing, in some way, at any age,” says Christine DeHart. Dancing at any age has great benefits. Studies have proven dance to be a major benefit to aging well.
That’s the philosophy of Christine, longtime dance instructor and owner of Dancing Thru Life, the Ballwin studio offering adults-only tap, jazz and ballet classes throughout the week in its gleaming studio. Dancing Thru Life is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. It’s truly a studio for adult dancers of all ages, with 125 students ranging in age from 20 to 80.
Classes are offered at every level, from beginner to advanced-plus. Ballet and jazz are taught in combination classes, with a few jazz classes taught separately. These classes are taught at all levels from beginner to advanced. Tap is taught in a variety of styles, including Broadway and rhythm. Throughout the nine-month program [Sept.-May], technique and dance combinations are taught and students progress through the levels according to ability. Summer courses also are available for fun and exercise.
Many students perform in the annual all-adult variety show. The April show features over a dozen dance numbers and also includes professional singers, magicians and musicians. Profits benefit Whole Kids Outreach.
Along with dance education and exercise benefits, friendship and fun abound at this friendly studio.
Enroll now for fall classes by emailing the studio at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling Christine at (636) 391-5678. A fall schedule can be emailed to prospective students.
The phone number is easy to remember – like the start of a dance routine, just say, “5, 6, 7, 8!”
