Midwest BankCentre celebrated the grand opening of its newest branch at 500 Chesterfield Center, adjacent to the main entrance of Chesterfield Mall off Clarkson Road. The 11,463-square-foot facility is home to its 24-person mortgage services team, relocated from Clayton. The Chesterfield branch consolidates and expands upon the bank’s previous presence at 16024 Manchester in Ellisville and a limited-service facility at Friendship Village-Chesterfield.

Mistwood Aviation and Cirrus Aircraft recently joined together for a Cirrus NOW event to launch Mistwood’s new training facilities, featuring a flight simulator and a new 2017 Cirrus G6 SR20 training aircraft. Mistwood Aviation is the first and only authorized Cirrus Aircraft Training Center in Missouri. Headquartered in Chesterfield at Spirit of St. Louis Airport, Mistwood Aviation opened in May 2016, striving to provide exceptional quality and service for regional Cirrus customers.

Donna Baker

Living Word Church in Wildwood appointed Donna Baker as director of traditional music ministries. A former elementary and high school vocal music teacher in Rockwood, Baker also has served the church as director of children’s, youth and adult choirs. She received her bachelor’s degree in vocal and instrumental education from William Jewell College and holds a master’s degree in educational processes from Maryville University.

Michael Neidorff

Mark Burkhart

The United Way of Greater St. Louis recently announced that Michael Neidorff and Mark Burkhart will serve as co-chairs for the 2017 United Way community campaign. Neidorff has served as president and CEO of Centene Corporation since 1996, adding chairman to his title in 2004. Burkhart serves as managing principal of Burkhill Real Estate, LLC, a national real estate investment firm that acquires commercial real estate properties and provides asset management of office, industrial and retail projects.

Ballwin resident Tim Laramie has joined First Bank as a financial advisor in the wealth management group. Laramie will provide a full range of wealth management services to St. Louis area clients. He has more than 20 years of banking and financial experience. Laramie holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management organizational behavior from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Insurance Business America released the Elite Women in Insurance 2017 report, recognizing Anna Manning of Chesterfield’s Reinsurance Group of America as among 125 insurance industry leaders and executives.

Accounting and consulting firm Abeles and Hoffman, P.C. announced the promotion of Wildwood resident Christopher Linneman, CPA, to senior manager. In his new role, Linneman will serve in the assurance services department and specialize in working with clients in the distribution, manufacturing, retail and professional services industries. He also will provide internal control consulting and general bookkeeping consulting for various clients. He has been with Abeles and Hoffman since 2008 and previously served as a manager. Linneman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Missouri State University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.

 

NETWORKING AND EVENTS

The Eureka Chamber of Commerce hosts Horse Hooky at Fairmount Park on Tuesday, July 25. A per-person fee of $45 includes bus transportation, entrance fee, race program and buffet lunch. The bus departs from Legends Corporate Center, 98 The Legends Parkway, at 11 a.m. and returns at 5:30 p.m.
