Tucker’s Place: Manchester’s 2017 Business of the Year

Tom Struharik, owner of Tucker’s Place

Manchester Homecoming is pleased to honor Tucker’s Place as the city’s 2017 Business of the Year.

Tucker’s Place, located at 14282 Manchester Road, has been in business since 1992. From its beginning, Tucker’s Place has supported the community in many ways. Each year, Tucker’s Pace sponsors the Special Olympics in cooperation with the Manchester Police Department. In addition, the restaurant sponsors the city’s Fourth of July celebration, its Homecoming celebration, Shop with a Cop at Christmas and many other events.

The city of Manchester is very grateful for the restaurant’s dedication to local programs as all citizens have benefitted from its generosity and support.

With the dream of offering high quality food that would appeal to all diners at a reasonable cost, Tom Struharik opened his first restaurant in Soulard in 1983. He wanted to keep the menu simple  and focused on pizza, hamburgers and steaks. In 1992, when he opened a second restaurant in Manchester, his outstanding steaks quickly became the most popular item. He opened a third location in South County and, with the support of his wife and sons, has made all three destinations popular with award-winning menus.

Tom’s goal is to offer his customers friendly service, a competent staff and a cozy atmosphere for a wonderful dining experience.

The Homecoming Committee and city thank Tom and Tucker’s Place for its service and contributions to Manchester and its citizens, and wish Tucker’s Place continued success.
