Mayoral candidates must be at least 25 years of age.

For 3rd Class Cities like Chesterfield and Maryland Heights, those wishing to file for city council must be 21 years old, a U.S. citizen, an inhabitant of the city for one year preceding the election and a resident from the ward from which they are elected six months preceding the election.
