RVBusiness magazine recently named local dealership Byerly RV, located at 295 E. Fifth St. in Eureka, as one of its 2017 Top 50 RV Dealers in North America. An independent panel of industry experts convened at the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Indiana, the “unofficial RV Capital of the World,” to select the RVBusiness Top 50 from nominated dealers who submitted applications. The 2017 class of RVBusiness Top 50 dealers were honored at a reception during the 2017 RV Dealers Association International Convention/Expo in Las Vegas.

Mercy Hospital St. Louis recently was named a Top Hospital for the third time by The Leapfrog Group, an independent hospital watchdog organization. The Leapfrog Top Hospital award is one of the most competitive honors American hospitals can receive.

Eighty-five St. Louis area families were adopted during First Bank’s Adopt-A-Family campaign this past holiday season. In addition, staff from the Four Seasons, Clayton and Creve Coeur locations adopted 10 of the United Way’s 100 Neediest Cases in St. Louis.

By matching hundreds of donors with families, the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery helped 1,500 children and their families this past holiday season. Through the Crisis Nursery’s Holiday Help and Holiday Hearts programs, families received toys, clothes and gift cards, in addition to household items, utility bill help and cleaning supplies.

Big River Running Company, a locally owned specialty retailer with three locations in St. Louis, including one in Ballwin, announced its new charitable giving program – Big River Gives Back. To kick off the program, Big River Running recently presented St. Vincent Home for Children in North County with 30 pairs of shoes and socks for the teens in the nonprofit’s residential treatment program.


Gateco Development announced the hiring of Wildwood resident Christopher Leonard as vice president of development and construction. In this position, Leonard will oversee all new building construction, ongoing maintenance and renovations of all existing properties in The Gatesworth community. Leonard brings to Gateco more than 15 years of experience in architectural services and construction oversight. He earned his master’s degree in construction engineering, with a specialization in business management, from Washington University. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, with a specialization in construction management, from Missouri S&T.

Courtney Freese Andrus, PA-C, who works at Washington University Clinical Associates – University Pediatric Associates in Town & Country, has been nationally recognized for earning a Certificate of Added Qualifications [CAQ] in pediatrics from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Andrus met licensure, education and experience requirements and then passed a national exam in the specialty. She is the only PA in Missouri to earn a CAQ in pediatrics since the program’s inception in 2014.
