Ferguson Roofing is a third-generation family business that has been going strong for 79 years. The business was started by Charles Lesniak and his wife, Ethel, in 1939 out of their home in Ferguson, Missouri. Though it later expanded to its current location in Berkeley, Missouri, the business and its values have always remained the same.
“Most of our employees have been with us for more than five years, with our longest tenured at 38 years,” Erin Gilbert, chief marketing technologist with Ferguson Roofing, said. “We truly support each other like family and we like to transfer that to the customers we work with.”
Ferguson Roofing offers much more than its name suggests; the industry experts do both residential and commercial work, including roofing, gutters, siding, insulation, windows, and soffit and fascia. Ferguson Roofing will do complete installation or repairs on any of the aforementioned services.
The company prides itself on being local, flexible, thorough and family-focused.
“The motto around here is ‘do the right thing.’ That’s what all the staff is empowered to do here,” Erin said.
As Ferguson Roofing prepares to celebrate its 80th anniversary, the company is holding true to its motto of “doing the right thing.” To honor its tenure in business, Ferguson Roofing is giving back to the community. Over the course of 2018, employees and other volunteers in the community will take part in the ‘80 in 80 Campaign,’ performing 80 acts of public service or philanthropy for the community. Ferguson Roofing is saying thanks for 80 years of business!
