Egg Hunts and Easter Bunny sightings

What better way to ring in spring and the upcoming Easter holiday than with an egg hunt and a visit with the Easter Bunny?

We’ve compiled a list of area egg hunts – some for kids, some for adults –where you can meet the Easter Bunny, hunt for eggs in unusual places, win awesome prizes and connect with community neighbors and friends. Get outside, enjoy the spring flowers and sunshine, and happy egg hunting!

An Adult Egg Hunt is from 7:30-10 p.m. on Friday, March 23 at Schroeder Park, 359 Old Meramec Station Road in Ballwin. Warm up at the end of the night by the bonfire. BYOB [no glass]. Registration required. For more information or to register, visit ballwin.mo.us.

An Equine Assisted Therapy Egg Hunt is at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 24 at Longview Farm Park, 13525 Clayton Road in St. Louis. Registration begins at 11 a.m.; the hunt starts at noon. For more information, call (314) 971-0605.

The Spring Egg Hunt is from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, March 24 at Fairway Elementary School, 480 Old Fairway Drive in Wildwood. The hunt will be split into three age groups: 3 years old and under, 4-6 years old, and 7-11 years old. Bring your own basket. For questions, call (636) 458-0440.

A Youth Easter Egg Hunt & Arbor Day Celebration is from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, March 24 at Drewel Park, 2 Hill Drive in Eureka. There will be separate areas for ages 2 and under, 3-4, 5-7, and 8-10. Each age group will start in 5-minute increments. Free hot dog lunch provided. Pictures with the Easter Bunny and a free tree for each participant [limit one tree per family].

An Adult Easter Egg Hunt is from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, March 24 at Legion Park Pavilion, 333 Bald Hill Road in Eureka. Adults ages 21-plus can grab a flashlight and basket and hunt for more than 1,000 prize-winning eggs. Light refreshments provided. Participants can bring their own food and beverages; no glass.

The city of Ellisville’s Easter Egg Scramble is at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 24 at Bluebird Park, 225 Kiefer Creek Road in Ellisville. Ages 1-9 can attend this free event. Mr. and Mrs. Bunny available for photos. For more information, call (636) 227-7508.

An Underwater Egg Hunt is from 7:30-8 p.m. on Friday, March 30 at The Lodge Indoor Pool, 1050 Des Peres Road in Des Peres. Kids ages 8-14 can grab their swimsuit and goggles and get ready to hunt underwater for eggs. Participants can win prizes and candy. Registration ends March 23. Visit TheLodgeDesPeres.com for more.
