Suspicious death upgraded to homicide in Wildwood

A suspicious death in Wildwood has been upgraded to a homicide after autopsy results showed the victim suffered gunshot wounds.

Brian Rasdall, 38, of Labadie, Missouri is accused of killing 27-year-old Christopher Austin, of St. Clair, around 7:15 a.m. on Sunday, March 25 in the 4100 block of Old Fox Creek Road in Wildwood. Rasdall is charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Police say they were called to the area for a report of a suspicious vehicle. When they arrived, they found Austin shot dead in the street.

Rasdall is being held on a $100,000 bond.
