The Missouri Department of Transportation [MoDOT] has updated the Public Involvement Plan it utilizes in developing its Long-Range Transportation Plan, Statewide Transportation Improvement Program and Consultation with Non-metropolitan Officials.
The public can review the plan at modot.org/plansandprojects/documents/EPGPublicInvolvementforPlanningProcessX.pdf.
The plan states that the planning framework for transportation decision making in Missouri has significantly more transportation needs than money available. Therefore, MoDOT works with its planning partners, transportation stakeholders and the general public in deciding the highest priority needs and improvements that should receive available funding.
The public may participate in a 45-day comment period on the plan that runs now through May 7. Comments may be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org.
