City of Ballwin officials and representatives of the i5Group, which has been named to help update the community’s comprehensive plan, will host an open house from 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at the Ballwin Golf Club.
The session’s come-and-go format is designed to enable Ballwin residents to stop by anytime to ask questions, share their views about the city’s future and meet the planning firm.
Ballwin officials consider resident input the single most important component in updating the comprehensive plan. The resulting planning document will guide decisions on the city’s growth and development in coming decades, leaders have stated.
Residents also have been asked to take a survey at the www.ballwinsblueprint.comwebsite to share their ideas on what will make the city an ideal place to live, work and play.
Two more open houses will be held as part of the planning process. Dates for those events will be announced later.
The current timetable calls for developing the comprehensive plan update over the next eight to ten months. A final plan will be presented to the Ballwin Board of Alderman for consideration and approval early next year.
