Registration opens for Town & Country Parade

By: Ellen Lampe

On Tuesday, May 22, registration officially opens for the city of Town & Country Parade, which is planned for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6. Prospective participants are encouraged to sign up early to secure a spot as space is limited.

The 2018 “Our Town, Our Country” Town & Country Parade will follow the same route as years past. The parade will begin at Mari de Villa Senior Living, 13900 Clayton Road, at the intersection of Clayton and Weidman roads. It will proceed to Longview Farm Park, 13525 Clayton Road, where the Town & Country Fall Festival will take place.

On Oct. 3, 2015, Red Schoendienst served as grand marshal of the inaugural Town & Country parade. Along for the ride was a child whose Make-A-Wish request was to be in a parade. What better way to make that dream come true than by sharing the spotlight with a St. Louis Cardinals legend. [Photo courtesy of Colleen Schoendienst]
