To the Editor:
As a resident of the city of Wildwood, I decided to attend our City Council meeting on June 11. I had never been, but wanted to see and hear some of the current events and issues occurring within our city.
It wasn’t long before I was appalled and disgusted at what I heard.
If the voting constituents had seen and heard some of these councilmembers, they would have been aghast. Mind you, I’m not speaking about all of them and I am not going to single out anyone by name but the self-centered egotism, condescension and arrogance that I witnessed by some was almost unbearable.
I appeal to the Wildwood voter/constituent to do more than just casting a ballot on election day. Take the time to check the city of Wildwood website and visit a council meeting and see exactly how you are being represented.
If we take the time to check on councilmembers who have been elected to represent us perhaps we will make better choices in the future. It was clearly obvious that some of the councilmembers cared more about themselves than the constituents who voted for their representation.
We have a great city and some good councilmembers who care about Wildwood moving forward. Visit the next city council meeting and I think you will see what I mean.
