Ballwin and Ellisville are partnering on a street improvement project on Reinke Road near the new Rupple Farms subdivision and have approved a contract for the work.
Krupp Construction, Inc., was the lowest of three bidders on the project, which calls for realigning a section of Reinke Road to improve sight lines for motorists traveling on the roadway.
New concrete curbs and gutters and a storm sewer also are included to improve drainage in the area.
The winning bid was $252,623, an amount to be shared equally by the two cities. Ballwin had budgeted a somewhat higher cost as its share of the project.
Plans call for the work to be completed during the current construction season.
