The Missouri Department of Conservation [MDC] hosts a free Family Day program from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11 at Rockwoods Reservation, 2751 Glencoe Road in Wildwood.
Families will have the opportunity to meet MDC education animals, take a hike to look for birds, catch aquatic creatures and more.
Some snacks are provided, but participants also are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy after the program. Guests should bring reusable water bottles, sunscreen, shoes that can get wet and insect repellant. All activities are within a short walking distance of the visitor’s center. Strollers are permitted.
Families will be assigned to a group and will rotate through each activity during the three-hour program. Binoculars are available for kids and adults. Strollers may be used on the trail.
The program is free but parents and guardians must register all family members that will be attending using the online registration system at https://tinyurl.com/y8eh6rvc.
