For three decades, Mercy has supported communities by giving more than $15 million in grants to organizations that serve children, elderly, homeless and uninsured people. This year, those grants total $500,000 awarded to 27 organizations across seven states, including Mercy Professional Services, which provides counseling for persons who lack the ability to pay for medical care and partners with local agencies to provide on-site psychotherapy and crisis counseling; National Alliance on Mental Illness St. Louis, the St. Augustine Wellston Center and the St. Louis Integrated Health Network.

The Range St. Louis West, located at 14803 Manchester Road in Ballwin, was recently named as the “Best Shooting Range in Missouri” by Missouri Magazines. The Range St. Louis West, founded in 2015, is owned by U.S. Air Force veteran John Henderson and boasts a staff of active and former military, law enforcement, professional marksman and NRA Instructors.


Bryan Kaemmerer, a partner at McCarthy, Leonard, Kaemmerer, L.C., has been named board president  for the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery. Kaemmerer first joined the Crisis Nursery’s board in 2007; in 2008, he co-founded its Young Professionals board. Kaemmerer succeeds Stephanie Hall, vice president of human services for Centene Corporation as board president.

Ron Kurtz is the new executive director of the Eureka Chamber of Commerce. Kurtz is a 17-year Eureka resident who currently is the president of the Eureka-Pacific Elks Lodge, finance officer for Eureka American Legion Post 177, communications director for Central Baptist Church, and a board member of Healing Grace Clinic. 


The West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce General Membership Meeting Luncheon is from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23 at The Wildwood Hotel, 2801 Fountain Place in Wildwood. Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, director of St. Louis Lambert International Airport is the featured speaker. Admission is $25 for members; $30 for non-member guests. The Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce hosts its general membership from 11:15 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at St. Louis Community College-Wildwood, 2645 Generations Drive.
