Kirk Day School students honored and thanked local veterans at the school’s annual Veteran’s Day Chapel on Friday, Nov. 9.
Fifth-grade students led the ceremony and following reception where stories of military service were shared. A Hall of Veterans board was hung for students and parents to add stars representing the veterans they knew.
During the ceremony, a procession of veterans ranging from WWII to the present attended. Following the event, students gifted veterans with letters and crafts showing their gratitude. Photos also were taken of the students and veterans.
