Dr. Laurie Burke, who has been a practicing chiropractor/acupuncturist at 242 Clarkson Road in Ellisville for the past 35 years, has been named the Adult Player of the Year by USTA [United States Tennis Association] Missouri Valley St. Louis. Burke, who did not start playing tennis until age 40, has played in almost every local adult tournament for the last 20 years. This year she is a top ranked player on six separate ranking lists in three different sections.

Sandy Hamm has joined the team at Jeffrey Ponte’s Edward Jones office, located at 14278 Ladue Road in Chesterfield. Hamm has assumed the role of branch office administrator.

Angela Stratton has joined Meramec Valley Bank as associate vice president/retail and facility manager. In this position, Stratton is focused primarily on retail sales and marketing for the bank, as well as managing her team at the Ellisville location.

Hayden Fouch has joined Meramec Valley Bank as a banking associate. He will be focused on credit analysis working under Senior Vice President Jim Jones.

The United Way St. Louis region raised $76,006,420 through its annual fall fundraising campaign with the help of more than 100,000 residents and 1,800 companies. United Way of Greater St. Louis partners with local agencies, programs and services to support one in three people in a 16-county region throughout St. Louis.

Altair Travel & Cruises and its president/owner Pat Blassie recently were honored as one of the top-producing members in the U.S. by Ensemble Travel® Group, a premier travel agency organization. The award was presented during the organization’s annual international conference.

Valley Insurance Agency Alliance, a cohesive family of over 100 independent insurance agencies in Missouri and Illinois, has collected more than 200 toys from members as part of the Marines’ Toys for Tots program.
