Convoy of Hope truck leaves Good Shepherd Lutheran with meals packed during the recent Feed My Starving Children event.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Manchester has announced it again will host a Feed My Starving Children [FMSC] food-packing event in 2019 after this year’s effort set new records.

Next year’s program will be held Oct. 17-20 at the church located at 327 Woods Mill Road.

The 2018 food-packing event held in October resulted in 894,240 meals being packed for shipment to Haiti, Liberia and other countries through FMSC’s distribution partner, Convoy of Hope.

The record number of meals packed was nearly 45,000 higher than this year’s goal and was the result of 3,000 participating volunteers and donations of more than $200,000.
