The renown, nationwide martial arts school Premier Martial Arts recently opened its second Missouri location on Taylor Road in Wildwood.
Premier Martial Arts Owner Brett Thomason, a world champion in the sport, has dedicated his life’s work to “empowering lives through martial arts.”
“As a child, I started in martial arts because of the popularity of TV shows like the Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers, but stayed because of the fun I had,” Thomason said. “I started teaching my own classes at 15 and really found my passion.”
During high school and college, Thomason competed throughout the country and, when he made the World Karate Association’s USA National Team, he began competing around the world. He now is a multi-time world martial arts champion.
Thomason decided to pursue his true passion of teaching martial arts to kids, teens and adults full-time through Premier Martial Arts, which now has more than 80 locations nationwide.
At Premier Martial Arts, Thomason teaches not only the techniques of martial arts but important life skills as well.
“Martial arts specializes in developing the whole child through a combination of physical and mental discipline,” Thomason said. “At Premier Martial Arts, we explicitly teach things like focus, confidence and self-discipline. We develop healthy children with healthy minds so they have the energy and fitness to be leaders and succeed at life’s challenges.”
