Local teens take the stage in next round of Teen Talent Competition


High school students from West County recently competed in the preliminary round of the Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation’s 9th Annual St. Louis Teen Talent Competition.

The following students advanced to the semifinals, earning the chance to perform on The Fabulous Fox Theatre’s stage on Saturday, April 13 and win scholarships and prizes: Marquette High sophomore Maya Anand, vocalist-pop; Lafayette High sophomore Nathaniel Mahone, musical theatre; MICDS junior Haley Driver, musical theatre vocalist; MICDS freshman Jane Goldman, musical theatre vocalist; MICDS freshman Samantha Iken, musical theatre vocalist; Parkway South High junior Samanvita Kasthuri, dancer-Bharatnatyam; Mereya Riopedre, MICDS junior, harpist; and Parkway South High junior Liana Valle, ukulele, vocalist and songwriter.
