Creve Coeur plans public forum on Better Together proposal

The Creve Coeur City Council will be reviewing a resolution at its meeting on March 25, calling for the withdrawal of the “Better Together” constitutional amendment initiative petition. Instead, the proposed resolution calls for the people of the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, including Creve Coeur, to develop a proposal that addresses regional issues, to be approved by directly affected voters.

The council meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers of the Creve Coeur Government Center, 300 N. New Ballas Road.

Additionally, the council will hold a work session at 6 p.m. on April 8 to discuss the Better Together proposal with a Better Together representative and Terry Jones, professor emeritus of political science and public policy administration at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

The city also is planning to hold a public forum on the Better Together proposal at 7 p.m. on June 6, with representatives attending from Better Together and the Municipal League of Metro St. Louis. More details about the public forum will be announced closer to the event.
