The 67-year old former Mr. Universe turned actor, Lou Ferrigno, visited young athletes at D1 Training Center, 14015 Manchester Road, on April 4, before making his appearance at Wizard World Comic Con taking place at America’s Center.

Ferrigno inspired the young athletes to continue pursuing health and wellness through exercise and nutrition. He also spoke passionately about being bullied as a child after an 80% hearing loss altered his voice and he urged the youths to seek out a trusted adult if they are a victim of bullying themselves.

Ferrigno is best known for his role as the Incredible Hulk in the television show of the same name starring as Bill Bixby’s alter ego. Since his acting debut in 1978, Ferrigno has appeared in over 40 movies and television shows, and is often the voice behind the Incredible Hulk in various forms of entertainment.

For the last 15 years, Ferrigno has worked as a police officer and took the opportunity to meet with Manchester Police Chief Scott Will and other officers, which commenced with a swearing-in ceremony at the police station.
