The Parents as Teachers National Center is partnering with the Great Rivers Greenway Life Outside Festival to promote childhood literacy, school readiness and family well-being on Saturday, June 8. Roll & Read features the reading of select children’s books at three learning stations along a one-mile walk and stroller roll.
As part of its 35th anniversary celebration, PATNC will host Roll & Read, a day of activities for families with young children. The festival runs from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on June 8 at Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park, 13725 Marine in Maryland Heights. Admission is free.
The festival also will offer a variety of outdoor activities related to active living, camping, cycling, mind and body, nature and conservation, paddling and running. Local food and beverage trucks will be on hand and about 18 musical acts will perform throughout the day. Drinking water in reusable bottles and sunscreen also will be available for free.
