The Missouri Chamber Music Festival presents its ninth season of concerts in St. Louis, June 17, 19, 20 and 22 at the 560 Music Center in University City and the First Congregational Church of Webster Groves.

The festival features musicians from the St. Louis Symphony and around the country in four concerts that build to the Festival Finale. Selections include “The Six Bagatelles” by György Ligeti, “Mládí” by Leoš Janáček, and the music of Claude Debussy.

The Finale performance shines a light on the music and influences of MOCM’s featured composer, and harpist, Hannah Lash.

Lash’s career as a harp soloist blends programs of traditional repertoire with her own compositions and explores new territories for the harp and all instruments. In 2018, Lash wrote “Start,” for solo snare drum and percussionist Michael Compitello. The St. Louis premiere of this piece will take place at the June 22 Finale concert.

Single tickets are $15 to $30 each; a Festival Pass [admission to all four concerts]) is $72. Tickets can be purchased in advance at mochambermusic.org and at the door starting one hour before the performance. Children under the age of 12 years old attend all concerts for free. Visit mochambermusic.org or call (314) 882-0053 for more details.
