Grand opening of Town Square is rescheduled after weather delay

After being canceled due to inclement weather, the grand opening celebration of Town Square and Fire & Ice festivities is rescheduled for Friday, Aug. 16.

The event is to begin with the Town Square ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7 p.m. and closes with fireworks at 9 p.m. All scheduled events are being held at Town Square; however, Longview Farm Park will be open for fireworks viewing.

Ptah Williams Jazz Trio will entertain event-goers at Town Square. Local food and drink vendors also will be available on the Town Square property.

The city invites guests to bring blankets, plus balls, toys and games to share. There is limited parking for ADA guests only at Town Square, however, residents are welcome to park at The Principia High School and walk to the event. Shuttles also will run between Longview Farm Park, Town Square, the First Church of Christ Scientist and Mason Ridge Elementary.
