The Dau family – Paul, Ryan, Cara and Theresa

In a time when disposable furniture seems to dominate the marketplace, it is refreshing to know Dau Furniture offers quality products with everyday value pricing.

Dau Furniture has served the St. Louis community since 1894, and the name has become synonymous with quality home furnishings and superior service.

Ryan Dau and Cara Dau Allen operate the family business today following the retirement of their father, Paul Dau, in late 2018. The siblings’ mother, Theresa Dau, still works in the office. Ryan and Cara may be the fifth generation to take over the family business, but the quality of the furniture and service remains.

“Cara and I are dedicated to providing our customers with the same commitment to quality and service as our father and the three generations before him,” Ryan said. “We offer a huge selection of American made products with custom options.”

Dau Furniture has rebranded with a new approach including more offerings at starting price points and custom options with shorter lead times. In addition, the store has made a shift from the more traditional styles it has been known for to a more transitional style. The 12,000-square-foot showroom is stocked with brand new transitional pieces that have become popular with clientele.

“With this new direction, we’ll be able to offer some custom furniture options in as little as four weeks and a wider range of stylish products at affordable price points,” Ryan said.

Dau Furniture has a talented team of designers with over 100 years of combined experience, and a Dau Designer can come to your home to help with everything from room layouts with fabric and finish selections to window treatments and accessories.

Specializing in quality home furnishings with custom options, Dau Furniture can make every house a home.
