Formed before the city in 1976, the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce has been operating as the premier business organization by providing business support and economic development for over 40 years. With 680 members and growing, the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce represents large organizations like St. Luke’s Hospital, and small like Digital Doc in Chesterfield, and everything in between. Member businesses include those in the retail, service, and manufacturing industries. The only requirement: the desire to do business in Chesterfield.
The nonprofit organization is funded by membership dues and event sponsors. Executive Director Nora Amato manages the daily operations supported by Assistant Director Krysta Struthers.
“We help businesses connect with one another as well as the population at large by encouraging our residents and businesses to shop Chamber first!” Amato said.
The Chesterfield Chamber provides a variety of opportunities for members to market and promote products and services.
“We offer free networking events as well as business programs, volunteer opportunities, and opportunities for community involvement,” Amato said. “We are constantly updating and changing our programs to meet the needs of our members.”
New this year: The Chamber has incorporated LEADS groups into programming, which offer businesses to connect and share business leads. They have also relaunched the Connecting Chamber Women and Chesterfield Young Professionals. The Chamber hosts several annual events for the community including two golf tournaments, two 5K/10K runs, a Business Expo, Casino Night, Summer Concert Series at Faust Park, Winter Festival and Breakfast with Santa.
“The business goals of the Chesterfield Chamber come directly from our mission statement: To help our community ‘CONNECT, LEARN, AND GROW,’” Amato said.
