Two Chesterfield high school Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps [JROTC] Cadets have received the DAR ROTC Bronze Medal.
Cadet Megan Krajewski, of Lafayette High, and Jasmine McComb, of Marquette High, were awarded by the Chesterfield area Mary Hempstead Lisa chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution [NSDAR].
The DAR ROTC Bronze Medals are awarded to cadets of outstanding ability, qualities of dependability, good character, leadership abilities and adherence to military discipline. Cadets are nominated for the DAR Bronze Medal by their school’s aerospace science teacher.
Paul Robinson, JROTC Cadet at Lafayette High, was awarded the DAR Good Citizenship Award by the Mary Hempstead Lisa Chapter Regent, Gail Young. The DAR Good Citizenship Award is awarded to nominated high school students who demonstrate, service, leadership and dependability.
NSDAR was founded in 1890 to promote historic preservation, education and patriotism. Its members are descended from the patriots who won American independence during the Revolutionary War.
