Allison Ebert, Manchester Homecoming Citizen of the Year, is being recognized by the city and the Manchester Homecoming Festival Committee for being a positive force in both the city of Manchester and in her classroom at Ballwin Elementary School, where she encourages and nurtures students from kindergarten through 5th grade. Ebert’s goal is to motivate students to work together, attempt challenges and to not give up in the face of adversity.
Ebert was also praised by the city for her instrumental role within Manchester Arts. One of her projects has been having children paint picnic tables at Schroeder Park as an expression of creativity and freestyle talent. The goal is for the picnic tables to last for many years to come. Ebert has also served in the Army, and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, as well as Special Olympics.
Ebert loves art appreciation, and in the future will continue to share her enthusiasm and innovative ideas with our community.
Manchester thanks Ebert for her contributions to her city, school and community.
