The city of Manchester has entered into a contract with E. Meier Contracting, Inc. for the 2019 Proposition S and Schroeder City Park Asphalt Improvement Project. The contract is for $439,453.43, which includes a 5% change order in the amount of $20,926.00 for unforeseen work conditions.
The park project will mill and overlay the asphalt pavement areas between Old Meramec Station Road to the front of the aquatic center, which is where last year’s project ended. The proposition S project portion includes the replacement of concrete curbs and mill/overlay of Connie Lane, as well as base repair, mill and overlay work on Country Stone Drive, south of Big Bend Road. The projects include removal, replacement or new construction of ADA compliant sidewalk curb ramps.
The Schroeder Park portion comes to $120,113.40, while the Prop. S work was bid at $298,414.03. The 2019 budget funded $175,000 through the Parks & Stormwater fund for the Schroeder Park portion.
