Seats on the Parkway and Rockwood school districts’ Board of Education will be open for the next election to be held on April 7, 2020. The option to file for available seats opens Dec. 17.
In the Parkway Board of Education, three director seats are open each for a three-year term. These open seats come as the terms Kristy Klein Davis, Deborah Hopper and Jeff Todd are set to expire in April.
Qualified persons may file in person at the Parkway Administrative Center, 455 N. Woods Mill Road in Chesterfield. To file, applicants should provide a biographical statement of no more than 200 words and a recent digital photograph, which will be released to the media and included in Parkway’s publications and website. Candidates’ names will appear on the ballot in chronological order of filing. Filing opens on Tuesday, Dec.17 at 8 a.m. The Administrative Center opens that morning at 6 a.m. Candidates will be assigned a filing number from the district security officer in the order of appearance. Filing continues through Jan. 21 at 5 p.m. Business hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. [excluding holidays].
On Dec. 17, Rockwood residents may also file as candidates for the Board of Education. Filing continues through Jan. 21, 5 p.m. The election will be held on April 7, 2020. Three seats are open, each for a three-year term.
Candidates may file Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., at Rockwood’s Administrative Offices, located at 111 E. North Street in Eureka. Each applicant must submit a written statement of candidacy. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, residents of the Rockwood School District, residents of Missouri for at least one year preceding the election and at least 24 years old.
Filing will not occur on days the school district’s offices are closed due to holidays or inclement weather.
