The penalty for treason is death and death quickly follows such judgments. There can be no other way as the legitimate affairs of state must proceed in order to maintain discipline and confidence in the new leadership so bestowed. Treason is defined as giving aid and comfort to the enemy, violation of allegiance owed, breach of trust, breach of faith and violation of allegiance in all its forms. Those who practice treason solely for their benefit must pay the ultimate price to help ensure that such malpractice of authority not raise its ugly head again and thus, safeguard future generations of honest law-abiding citizens from the insidious depravity we now bear witness to in the House of Representatives.
