Letter to the Editor: Responding to ‘The penalty of treason’

I read the letter by William Quinn in which he clearly states that the House of Representatives has insidious depravity [Jan. 15, “Letters to the Editor”]. He equates this to treason and holds that those who commit treason must pay the ultimate price.

Treason is punishable by death. So he is maintaining the representatives should be executed.

Why would you publish such a letter? As the Supreme Court has held, free speech does not give a person the right to shout fire in a theater.

Shame on you for printing the letter.
