The Manchester Board of Aldermen unanimously approved a resolution to purchase 250 composting kits from Brandbuilders, LLC in the amount of $16,247.50 during its regular Board of Aldermen meeting on Feb. 3. The city will use funds provided by the 2019 Waste Reduction Grant from the Saint Louis County Department of Public Health.
There will be a limited supply of composting kits and they will be sold on a first come first serve basis. The composting kits will be made available to residents through an online store that will be on the city’s website starting March 2. The pick-up date for the composter will be on the morning of Saturday, April 25, as part of the city’s annual Arbor Day celebration in Schroeder Park.
