Receiving two letters from Michael Bloomberg’s campaign, while weeping for the forests [and] pondering the carbon footprint and amount of trees harvested to create the amount paper required to send millions of letters from this allegedly “green” candidate, I read their contents.
The first was alleged to have come directly from Margaret Brick [although the return address on the envelope was Bloomberg’s Campaign P.O. box] whose son “…was the first New York City firefighter to be killed in a fire after 9/11” and she states, “The day it happened…in walked Mayor Bloomberg.”
I send my heartfelt condolences to this mother who lost her brave son.
While technically truthful, with regard to the letter’s reference date of 9/11, what didn’t appear in the letter was that Bloomberg was not mayor until Jan. 1, 2002, and the tragic death of her son Thomas occurred as a result of a fire on Dec. 16, 2003. I assume most people can agree that any attempt to mislead people into wrongfully believing that someone died as a result of the 9/11 attacks when they did not, dilutes the memory of all those who did.
The second letter sent from “The Desk of Mike Bloomberg” stated, “…millions of people voted for …Trump…to shake up a system…”
This was the second truthful statement I have heard from Bloomberg. The first was his recent [Democratic National Convention] debate slip in saying “I bough[t]…I got them elected” referring to other Democrats.
Perhaps Bloomberg has a problem with the truth, because even he feels the unembellished truth isn’t enough to get him elected.
