The hidden gem of Chesterfield

Welcome to Chesterfield’s best-kept secret. While 2020 has offered challenges, Four Seasons Country Club has experienced a renaissance, and many in the golfing community have taken notice.

Located at the intersection of Olive and Old Woods Mill, Four Seasons Country Club was saved from the developer’s bulldozer recently. The 9-hole track had been private since 1962 and immediately went semi-private under the direction of an innovative management company. With the attentive management of a new superintendent, the course has blossomed.

The zoysia fairways show life, the trees are trimmed, and colorful bushes and flowers adorn the tee boxes. Those items must have been what the golfers wanted. The course has seen a remarkable uptick of new faces.

Open tee times are available daily. Public play is encouraged. The layout is ideal for juniors, seniors, women, and couples as well as the low handicap player looking to improve short game skills.

Besides having a friendly course design, Four Seasons Country Club offers a variety of unexpected amenities even though it is nestled in the heart of St. Louis County.

Purple martins swarm the course under the hoots of a local owl. The resident white-tail hawk prowls for prey daily as squirrels scurry. Three newborn foxes patrol the ponds for geese and might pick up the occasional golf ball. Dozens of deer occupy the shadows. Add in some raccoons, minks, skunks and creatures and it is hard to say what else a golfer might see.

Check out the various “frequent play” packages. Early bird and twilight specials occur daily. Call the pro shop at (314) 469-5986 to arrange a tee time or book online through GolfNow.
