Where tradition never goes out of style

 For 40 years and counting, Spiro’s at Chesterfield has kept its devotion to high-quality, fresh dishes front and center while still maintaining a dedication to tradition. 

According to owner Tim Karagiannis, the recipes at Spiro’s’ have been consistent since Tim’s father, Harry, first established the Mediterranean restaurant in 1975. 

There is a reason for that consistency. It’s because customers want it that way. 

“People want to come back here after ten years, order the same dish they tasted 10 years ago and know that flavor is going to be the same,” Tim said. 

Spiro’s is widely known for its excellent tableside service and a menu where steaks, lamb and classic Greek dishes are signature items. In addition to traditional Greek fare, Spiro’s offers an array of pastas, pizza and chicken, plus veal and pork entrees that have international influences, especially Italian. Every pasta dish is made to order, and sauces are prepared fresh for each dish. 

“We don’t just have one or two dishes that people love, we have a strong core,” Tim said. 

That same menu of quality dishes is available via curbside pick-up and delivery through multiple, third-party apps. 

Lately, Tim said that comfort food has been the restaurant’s biggest seller. A consistent favorite of all ages is the restaurant’s Chicken Parmesan, boasting sautéed chicken breast with topped with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella all served with a hearty portion of pasta. Another favorite has been Spiro’s signature selection of grilled meats, including their slow-roasted Prime Rib, served with hot au jus. 

“We probably run out of Prime Rib almost every night,” Tim said. 

Spiro’s’ dishes are always classically prepared with the freshest, highest quality ingredients. Customers can order online, over the phone and also dine-in, but reservations are required to guarantee seating and availability.
