Beautifully situated in Wildwood, Ridgefield Arena is celebrating 50 years in business. The family-owned and operated business offers a wide array of picturesque bridle trails, exceptional boarding services and lots of extra amenities. Since 1970, Ridgefield Arena has been among the area’s premier boarding and horse facilities. Spectators enjoy an air-conditioned lounge and fireplace for viewing the indoor arena, as well as patios for viewing the two outdoor arenas.
With St. Louis being rich in equestrian history, Ridgefield has spread its love of the sport through sharing its facility, providing a sense of community and knowledge of horsemanship that has continued for generations, and shows no signs of slowing down.
Ridgefield Arena is also home to Ridgefield Riding Academy and Ridgefield Shows.
Ridgefield Riding Academy is based on a strong foundation of horsemanship, a keen focus on riding techniques and having fun.
“We have an all-encompassing riding program for all aged riders, beginning at age 6,” said Ridgefield owner Tracey Gentry Ryan, who was born into a family that trained and showed horses. “Customers range from recreational riders to those who compete at rated hunter jumper shows and schooling hunter shows. Our facility is well established and has produced many successful riders.”
Ridgefield regularly offers a spring break camp, summer camps, an advanced clinic and holiday camp each year. Adult riding lessons, birthday parties and three charity horse shows are hosted each year as well. Ridgefield Arena strives to “produce great riders and share the love of horses.”
