CBC’s Saunders mines gold in Fargo Nationals wrestling tournament

CBC’s Joshua Saunders went to North Dakota to wrestle and came back with a gold medal. Saunders, 15, who will be a sophomore, competed in Fargo Nationals, considered to be the premier youth event in the United States. Junior boys golf De Smet Jesuit’s Kevin Wahle, of Wildwood, won the recent Missouri Golf Association Junior Amateur championship at Jefferson City Country Club. Wahle, who will be a senior this fall, won a sudden-death playoff with Taylor Haltom, of Thornfield. Wahle finished with a 140 on identical rounds of 70 and 70. Haltom’s rounds were 72 and 68.
