Small Business Saturday creates positive economic benefits

According to a Forbes.com survey, more than 95 million consumers shopped at small businesses – including restaurants, retailers and more – on Small Business Saturday last year, marking an eight percent increase from 2014. Additionally, total spending among U.S. consumers who were aware of Small Business Saturday reached $16.2 billion, an increase of 14 percent from $14.3 billion in 2014.

Photography exhibit explores the lives of resilient women
