Giving to Ghana

At the end of 2014, Rev. Michael McIntyre, lead pastor at Living Word Church in Wildwood, challenged church members and friends to spend half of what they would have spent on gifts for family and friends at Christmas and give the other half to children in Ghana who are dying because they lack of basic necessities – clean water, food and medicine.

Creating social change

A student-led group at Eureka High painted plywood murals of St. Louis and St. Louisans as a way to share feelings about the situation in Ferguson and engage in conversation about social change. Earlier in the year, more than 100 students came together to engage in a discussion about social change and society. The murals are part of a larger movement called #OneEureka and will be displayed at the school for all to see.
