Town & Country budget to receive final reading, vote at Dec. 8 meeting

The Board of Aldermen for Town & Country gave a first reading to the city’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2015 at its Nov. 24 meeting. A second reading and final vote of the budget will take place on Dec. 8. Overall, the city is expecting revenues of $13,609,373, and expenditures of $14,821,302 from all of its funds – general, capital improvement, parks and stormwater, safety and training and public art – in 2015. City Administrator Gary Hoelzer said the difference between projected 2015 revenues and expenditures comes from one-time expenses necessary for maintaining the city’s infrastructure. Local burglaries prompt warnings from police

According to a press statement released on Nov. 4, the city of Town & Country along with surrounding communities in recent weeks have reported several daytime burglaries. On Monday, Oct. 13, Town & Country Police responded to a reported burglary in the 2300 block of North Ballas Road. The suspect or suspects broke out a window and entered the house, taking a large flat screen television, a computer, a cellphone and some coins.
