Express the Music is a free competition for grades 6-12 that authentically integrates writing into the fine arts curriculum. Students listened to a specific piece of music [Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, “Eroica,”] and responded with stories, essays and poems that expressed creative thought and emotion.
