Local students generated the idea of furnishing each science classroom with toxin-absorbing plants, aiming to improve air quality and increase school attendance.

The Marquette High Dazzlers dance team has been busy impressing sports audiences at football and soccer halftime performances this fall. Borne out of the desire to bridge the social gap between classmates off all abilities, the team features nine students with special needs and 19 Marquette Mystique dancers.

Twenty-four Rockwood high school students are planning to graduate with associate degrees already under their belts. They will have two years' worth of college credits completed at no cost to their families.

Rockwood consistently ranks above state and global averages on Advanced Placement exam scores.

Rockwood South Middle art teacher Jeff Sass won a grant from the St. Louis Art Fair program known as Student Art Aficionados, or SAA.

While eight Missouri schools were honored, Chesterfield Elementary was the only local honoree.

Current and former Rockwood South Middle students got a chance to autograph copies of a book that includes their photography on Sept. 23 at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore at West County Mall. “More Falcon Photos” is the title of the book, which now is available for purchase. KFTN 92.7 is an 89-watt radio station run by Rockwood Summit students. You could call it the classic rock of Fenton.
