Eureka ready to meet Fort Zumwalt West for the MidStates Club Hockey Association’s Founder’s Cup championship

The Eureka Wildcats have the opportunity to win a hockey championship.The Wildcats will meet Fort Zumwalt West at 8:15 p.m. Friday (Feb. 22) at Queeny Park for the Midstates Club Hockey Association’s Founders Cup title.Eureka is 7-15-1 this season. Quarterfinals set for Midstates Club Hockey Association’s Challenge Cup and Wickensheiser Cup

Quarterfinal play in the Midstates Club Hockey Association’s Challenge Cup and Wickenheiser Cup postseason tournaments is about to begin. CBC, Chaminade, De Smet, Marquette, and Priory all have survived pool play in the Challenge Cup. In the Wickensheiser Cup, defending champion Westerminster Christian Academy has advanced out of pool play along with Lafayette and Parkway West. Teams assigned for groups in Midstates Club Hockey Association’s postseason tournaments

The Midstates Club Hockey Association postseason tournament brackets and schedules have been released. There are 12 teams in the Challenge Cup. The Blue Conference and Red Conference are again divided into two divisions with three teams each. The Blue Conference Group A has No. 1 St. Louis University High, No. 8 Priory and No. 9 Oakville. De Smet set to play Chaminade outdoors in annual Winter Classic

Last season, the Winter Classic was called off because of warm weather and De Smet missed its chance to play hockey outside in the elements. That won’t be the case this year for the Midstates Club Hockey Association’s Winter Classic set for Saturday (Jan. 26). The forecast for Saturday has a high temperature of 32 and a low of 25. The Parkway West hockey club faces a new opponent in its last game of the Mid-States Club Hockey Association’s regular season. Eureka will meet Edwardsville in outdoor hockey game in annual Winter Classic

Eureka will be playing in the Mid-States Club Hockey Association’s Winter Classic and the Wildcats are happy about the chance to play outdoors. “I believe this is our first time in the Winter Classic,” Eureka coach Kevin Markovitz. “We were supposed to play last year but weather caused the games to be cancelled.
