Marquette boys tennis team made program history this season

It was a season Marquette boys tennis coach Alex Nelle said he will never forget. Parkway Central completes good season by finishing second in Class 3 boys volleyball

The Parkway Central Colts came close but fell short in the Class 3 state boys volleyball championship. The Affton Cougars finished an undefeated season by stopping the Colts 19-25, 25-21, 27-25. The Colts finished with a 26-12 record. Marquette Mustangs boys tennis coach Alex Nelle knew he had a good team to lead this spring and it turned out he was right. The Mustangs are heading to Springfield to play in their first Class 2 state team tennis tournament. Lafayette is No. 1 seed in Class 4 boys volleyball postseason state tournament

Lafayette is the No. 1 ranked team in Class 4 and the Lancers begins its quest for the state championship by hosting first-round district play. The state high school boys volleyball postseason begins Friday (May 13) at 4:15 p.m. for some schools and at 9 a.m. Saturday for others. Teams play best 2 out of 3 with the third game going to 15 points. Each team plays the other in districts. The Lancers finished the regular season with a sparkling 26-2 record. Lafayette’s last loss and only one to a local school came April 16 in the semifinals of the Parkway Central Invitational. ...
